Mariam Saibu

Mariam Saibu is a licensed professional counselor in the states of Georgia and Texas. She specialized in trauma, mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, addiction, career counseling and ADHD. She has worked in inpatient, outpatient, state agencies and private practice where she has served young children to older adults. In addition, Mariam is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Mariam’s therapeutic approach involves addressing cognitions related to thoughts, feelings and how these two factors affect behavior or outcomes. The goal in therapy is to eliminate control strategies and maladaptive behaviors, teach skills training, in order for each individual to create a rich meaningful life and get unstuck from suffering. Her passion involves helping women and their families heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths.
